Oran is the capital of the Oran province on the Mediterranean coast of northwestern Algeria. ”Oran” means ”two lions” in the Berber language. Oran is Algeria’s second-largest city. Oran is known for its rich history, vibrant culture, and blend of Spanish-Moorish and French colonial influences. It is a hub for raï music, a popular tourist destination with attractions like Fort Santa Cruz, the Great Mosque, and beautiful beaches, and a bustling commercial center.

ROUTE DESCRIPTIONS: The preliminary route is very close to the hotel. We have two options. First option is flat loop of 5km along the seaside.
The other option is in Mediterranean Akid Lotfi Garden. The park is a public park in Oran offering a peaceful retreat from the city’s hustle and bustle and provides a green space for visitors to relax and enjoy nature. The route is 2,6km and means +16 laps.
TRAVEL IDEAS:
Cheap flights to Oran from Alicante and Barcelona. Daily morning flights from Alicante for €38,00 and from Barcelona (many flights) from €44,00 to 78,00. After the marathon, next day, on Saturday there is a flight ✈ with TunisAir at 14:45 from Oran to 16:25 Tunis. Cost about €86,00. Then You have time to rest before Tunis marathon on Monday.
